A better future is possible.

Anthony is unwavering in his belief that addressing short-term goals, such as bolstering small and local businesses and enhancing our parks and public spaces, is crucial to the pursuit of long-term aims, such as driving greater economic development by attracting new businesses and organizations to the neighborhood while preventing the displacement of residents due to rising housing costs and building new housing where possible.

Improving Core City Services

As taxpayers, the most fundamental return on our investments for our households and communities is the assurance that we receive quality city services. Anthony will continue to ensure that every resident of Columbia Heights benefits from efficient, reliable, and high-quality city services.

Transforming Public Life

Anthony is fully committed to championing vibrant, inclusive, and well-maintained public spaces that enhance community interaction and cultural expression for all residents, families, and visitors to our neighborhoods. He will continue to focus on solutions that transform the public realm so it’s clean, green, and safe for all.

Promoting Good Government & Transparency

DC Government can and must work better for all of us. For too long, the basics have been overlooked: we have ignored fiscal red lines, watered down oversight, and stopped delivering what residents actually need. Anthony will fight for a government that works better and works for us all.

Driving Economic Growth

For sustained economic development to take root again in Columbia Heights, we must create an environment that supports the growth of our small businesses. Anthony is committed to fighting for an environment that attracts, supports, and retains small, local businesses while creating job opportunities for all residents.

Expanding Housing Options

The rising cost of living in Columbia Heights and across the District is pricing out residents. To combat this crisis, Anthony is committed to supporting housing production where possible and ensuring that affordable housing options are available to residents at all income levels. He is also heavily focused on improving housing conditions.

Creating Inclusive Communities

No resident deserves to live in fear or shame or feel unwelcome in our neighborhood. Anthony will continue to fight for policies, places, and spaces that create inclusive communities and allow every neighbor to see themselves in Columbia Heights. Whether LGBTQ+, immigrant, unhoused, or even aging, Anthony will always fight for you.

Building Safe Communities

Anthony is keenly focused on advancing public safety through community-oriented policing strategies that build trust and collaboration between residents and law enforcement. These strategies ensure we get back to the basics and provide the safe communities that all residents and families deserve.

Supporting Youth & Families

Families and young people in Columbia Heights deserve community facilities and public spaces that are safe, welcoming, and easy to use. Anthony will continue to make existing recreation centers, libraries, parks, and other family resources work better through much-needed capital improvements, tailored offerings, clear bilingual information, and continual engagement.m l

Building A Reliable Transportation System

Safe, reliable, and accessible transportation is a fundamental right for every resident. For Columbia Heights workers and families, it’s a necessity. Anthony will fight to correct the effects of the Better Bus redesign, improve multimodal transit planning, and address the challenges posed by micromobility devices.

Tackling Our Behavioral Health Crisis

Columbia Heights is experiencing a behavioral health crisis, one that is going underaddressed. Anthony will continue to fight to ensure we build or scale the necessary systems, services, and supports to address this challenge and give residents in need access to treatment, stable housing, and the opportunity to thrive.
