Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information when you interact with the Site:
Contact information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number, when you sign up for updates, contact us, or volunteer.
Volunteer and constituent service information, such as your Single-Member District, issues you care about, or comments you submit through a form.
Donation information, if you contribute to the campaign. Financial and card information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor ([ActBlue / other processor]) and is not stored on our servers. Contributions are also subject to disclosure requirements under DC campaign finance law (see below).
Automatically collected technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, gathered through cookies or similar technologies and analytics tools (e.g., [Google Analytics]).
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: Respond to your questions or requests for constituent services; Send you campaign updates, newsletters, and event invitations, where you've opted in; Coordinate volunteer activities; Process and record contributions as required by law; Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it; Comply with applicable campaign finance and election laws.
Campaign Finance Disclosure
Under DC campaign finance law, contributions to the campaign may be subject to public disclosure, including the contributor's name, address, occupation, employer, and contribution amount, as reported to the DC Office of Campaign Finance (OCF). This disclosure is required regardless of anything in this policy.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
Service providers who help us operate the Site, send emails, process payments, or manage volunteer data (e.g., [email platform], [ActBlue], [Squarespace]), who are only permitted to use it to provide services to us;
Government agencies, such as the DC Office of Campaign Finance, as required by law;
Successor campaign committees or organizations, if the campaign's operations transfer to a future committee for Anthony Thomas-Davis. We do not share your information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
